I think Cornelia intended on gently chastising me for writing about times I have been charitable since the beginning of Matthew 6 talks about the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing, but the intention of this post is not to list all the times I have been a good person, rather to illustrate that I think “generosity” has very little to do with tithing and more to do with a philosophy or way of life.

The rest of Matthew 6 talks about hypocrites pretending to be more holy than they really are, about people who serve two masters and an admonishment to stop worrying about the future. All good stuff if you can manage it .

Matthew 6 is interesting, if only there were more christians who actually followed it.

If you can help someone else in a need etc… and be generous the same time, the world will be a very different place.

You sometimes never know if that other person is less fortune than yourself.

You might never know when you are an angel (an angel in disguise)to that other person you helping. The same time people can also just using you when they know you are such a generous helpfull bloke.
