By this I mean that small voice we tend to refer to as our concience. Christians believe the Holy Spirit influences our daily decisions by prompting us to do the right thing. Many Christians believe stuff I disagree with, but who am I to say they are not authentic in their beliefs. No, I mean convicted.

This implies a kind of "rule" like a king. Most Christians believe we are to be "stewards" (remember Lord of the Rings) rather than kings. Our job is to "look after" the animals. So far we have done a lousy job. Also, God never gave man permission to eat animals until after Noah's flood (look it up :)). Many Christians take this to mean that eating meat is a symptom of man's fallenness and thus is wrong.
