Why can’t God speak for himself? Why would he choose to speak through people like this?

Why would you believe God would speak like that?
Even though I’m not a Christian and I do believe that people don’t get punished for no reason. Because we are all responsibile for everything that we do, we think about and what we say.
There is always a reason for something.
But I don’t believe that God would speak like what those people had. Because it’s just not a way to get across to people, to preach if you like. Also it is not showing any compassion.
Anyways, that’s me.
